Where to eat Udon?

I love Japanese food, and I’m always on the look out for good plus value for money for Jap cravings! Marugame Udon recently opened in Bonifacio High Street, and I highly recommend it for Udon (and they really have good Kaarage!). With the scorching heat in Manila during lunch time, you’ll be surprised that this place has a line outside, and mostly with Japanese in line (so you know already you’re getting an authentic taste of Japan!). The prices are reasonable starting at P95 for Udon, up to P270 only. Kaarage and Tempura are only P60/piece! With the fast food, self service queuing, lines are moving quick since food is served right away, you don’t have to wait too long outside, it’s definitely worth the visit.

Where to buy baking supplies?

There’s only store in BGC that will supply all the baking needs and supplies you need, and it’s in “All About Baking” in Uptown Mall! Baking ingredients can be bought here and there in the groceries, you can find some liners and pans in Gourdo’s, but for a one-stop-shop, everything you’ll need can be found in here!

If you’re just starting with baking, you can find the most basic essentials you need here like pans, measuring cups, spoons, spatula and basic baking ingredients.

For the more experienced bakers, this is definitely a baker’s heaven, there’s assorted ingredients like food color gels, assorted chocolates like Malagos, chocolate chips and bars, toppings for cheesecakes, cupcake toppers, boxes, cupcake liners, and the like.

They also have assorted party needs! If you’re throwing a small birthday bash, you will find random containers, decors, and other party needs. Baker or not, definitely worth a visit when you’re in the mall!

Where to eat Greek Food?

There used to be only one Greek restaurant in the area, Greeka Kouzina in SM Aura. The good news is Cyma finally opened in BGC with Souv by Cyma! Cyma favorites are being served in the restaurant with additional items in the menu. Roka Salata has always been my favorite salad, so happy I can get it anytime!

Where can I buy Taho?

Ever wondered where can you get Taho in BGC, Taguig? Where can I get my childhood craving satisfied? Manong Taho is so elusive, you usually don’t see one within Fort area. You can get Taho in these 3 places: a. Sinangag Express in the 2nd floor IPC foodcourt (outside the building) in Mckinley Hill, b. Taho Boy in G/F of Market Market near BPI ATMs, and c. Manong Taho along the streets of Lawton Ave and Bayani Road.

Taho in Sinangag Express are the cold taho and costs P30.00

Taho in Taho Boy has both the hot and cold version, pricing below, starts at P32.00 for hot and P35.00 for cold.

Where can I eat Mexican-American-Japanese food?

The most common recommendation might be eat in a buffet, but the answer would be in Moe’s Southwest Grill, Watami, and Texas Roadhouse in Uptown, BGC. Since these 3 restaurants are by Bistro Group, you can actually cross order from these 3, just ask the waiter to bring the menu. I’ve eaten here on numerous occasions craving for all sorts of food, and random orders from the 3 restaurants. I recommend sitting in Watami or Texas Roadhouse then just order from Uncle Moe’s for the restaurant feel vs fast food vibe in Moe’s.

What apps can I use for food and grocery delivery?

Did you know that there are grocery apps already that can deliver not only groceries, but wine, cupcakes, rice, even Wagyu Beef? MetroMart and Honestbee apps are life savers! You can schedule delivery – both date and time, you can pay via cash or credit card. You need to choose your area, as they not cater to all areas, but they definitely deliver in Taguig.

I found it very useful when you have rice and fresh milk delivered (since they’re heavy), last minute missing grocery ingredient while cooking, or emergency wine and cheese for impromptu guests visiting, and they would deliver it right to your doorstep. Also for items that are not within the area like Kitayama Wagyu Beef (which is located in Chino Roces Ave., Makati), no need to drive all the way to Makati for your steak fix!

Honestbee App

Honestbee App Delivery Charge is FREE when you reach P1,500 minimum (but they would have free deliver promos from time to time), they have a fixed Concierge fee (P99.00).

I have used both and I’m satisfied with the service, MetroMart used to deliver SM Groceries, but it’s not part of the stores they cater to, so I now use Honestbee for Robinsons Selections.
